Feelings Journal
Activity Instructions:
Give your teen a special journal that he can use daily to write down thoughts and experiences. Se can either write freely in the journal, or use a system-for example, create three columns with the headings: Event, Feelings, and Solution. This detailed record will help her follow trends, notice emerging patterns or problems, and come up with ideas to improve her life.
Materials:
- Journal
- Pen or pencil
Outcome:
Your teen will gain a deeper understanding of his or her emotional world on a day-to-day basis, and will be better equipped to address and handle feelings.
