If your child has some behavioral issues and is a football fanatic this could work really well. You can sit down with your child and set behavior goals for the week. Each day there is a new behavior goal or even a chore that your child must accomplish. This keeps it well organized and allows the child to see what they have accomplished and what they need to work on. Setting a behavior goal is a great activity that you and your child can do together. In the evenings after your child has accomplished the goal, your child can mark it off. This allows the child to know that they have accomplished that task. It gives your child positive encouragement to keep up the behavior that you are trying to change. If for some reason the child does not accomplish the task or the behavior change it can become a learning lesson as well. You and your child can sit down that night and you can explain to your child why they did not accomplish that goal and what they can do in the future to change the outcome. Points can be used in which the child can then turn in for a reward at the end of the week. This is a great way of changing the negative behavior of a child and rewarding them for positive changes.
