Chore Chart: Reward Points
|
Every parent should be able to recognize the value in an incentive structure for your children’s chores that give them something to be excited about by gamifying their weekly responsibilities and assigning each task with a point value. The chart gives you room to write down the details for what the chore was and the point value for the chore so that you can easily keep track of your child’s performance throughout the week. It is simple enough that most school children could be assigned to complete them without any oversight. Write down the name of the chore on the chart where it says chore, the total point value where it says points, and have your child write the date the chore was completed in the column that says date completed. At the end of the week, you can add up all of the points that your child has accumulated and write the result down on the box that says total points in the bottom right-hand corner of the chart. Such an easy to understand chart is sure to be loved by both parents and children alike. It gives parents an easy way to motivate children and children an incentive to complete their chores by rewarding them points each time they complete one of their chores.
