Money and Children: Reward Points
|
There's usually nothing that gets children to do their chores better than offering money for each job completed. The Reward Points chart can help parents organize the chores that need to be done around the house and how much each chore is worth based on each child's age and their skill level as some children might be able to tackle a few more chores than others while some might not be old enough to really help out as much but still want to earn money. With bright colors of red, blue, and yellow, the chart is lively so that children are excited about looking at it and so that they can see the money that they can earn if they complete their chores. Blackbirds are seen on the right side of the chart and are doing all types of chores including sweeping, dusting, and taking out the trash, giving parents a few ideas as to the chores that can be listed in the column of the same name. Parents can record the date that the chore was completed as well as the amount of the chore, letting children decide what they want to do during the week as they will only be given the money for the jobs that they perform.
