Brushing Teeth Chart
|
Establishing a cleaning teeth chart for your child is a great way to get them in a healthy routine. Kids may understand the importance of dental care. However, to execute a great dental care structure should be put in place. Consistency is the key, for example after every meal has your kids brush their teeth and floss. Have them document this on a chart. This can be as simple as an excel spreadsheet print off with three-time slots after breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Kids can be motivated by getting rewards and recognition for demonstrating good dental care. They can be awarded by a weekly allowance. Giving them more privileges such as a video game or more time allowed on youtube could be a good motivation for them to maintain good habits. Recognition of your child following good habits is important. Telling your son or daughter that you are proud of them is a good motivator. Some best practices to keep your kids in a good routine is lead by example. Show your kids you are documenting your daily habits of brushing your teeth on a document. Continued to educate your kids on how and why to brush your teeth and floss daily. Preventing cavities and feeling great will be a big motivator.
