Star Charts for Children

As a parent, it is your duty to teach your child responsibility which consists of doing chores around the house and practicing good behavior in and outside of the home. A great way to help them understand the rewarding feeling one gets from responsibility is by using a star chart for children where they can add stars every time they have completed a chore or practiced a good deed. Being able to keep track of such things will allow you and your child to both keep track of the progress he or she is making through the month. To ensure that your child keeps up the good work, it is crucial to add a reward into the mix when they place a certain amount of stars on their chart. Once they see that their behavior and chores around the house are rewarded, they will begin to practice these things more often. As they get older, the charts will no longer be needed and they will no longer need a helping hand when it comes to responsibility. Using the star chart is a great way to help your child become independent and well-behaved before their adult years start to take place.
